Job Title: Engineering Technician
Job Description

Support Engineers in Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) durability analytics, focusing on maintaining the integrity of engine parts in high-temperature conditions. The role encompasses technician work, project management, and engineering tasks.

ResponsibilitiesBecome a technical expert on inspection practices, including photography using handheld devices, digital annotation, magnetoscope inspection, and airflow bench operation integrated with a computer.Follow proper standard work by selecting appropriate tools, fixtures, and molds, ensuring proper bench setup, understanding expected values, and documenting values in correctly formatted templates.Comfortable using MS Excel for data documentation.Manage all special projects not covered within the scope of work.Order supplies for team members in Crib & D-Bldg.Oversight of the O/S Team by providing technical expertise, monitoring workflow prioritization, and spot-checking deliverables to ensure quality standards.Foster effective communication between HSE, MPE, CPR, and outsource vendors, utilizing MS Outlook and Teams for regular communications.Interact with CPR database (LotusNotes) and submit work requests to MPE (Granta).Update and maintain standard work for inspection practices, drive continuous improvement, and troubleshoot issues with inspection bench equipment.Essential SkillsProficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office.Troubleshooting, mechanical assembly, and inspection of parts.Associate Degree from a technical college.At least 1+ year experience in a manufacturing setting.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsFamiliarity with SAP is a plus.Strong soft skills in project management are important.Work Environment

This position requires full-time onsite work at the East Hartford campus. The team is dynamic with constantly changing priorities, providing a structured and process-driven environment. The work involves fixing flight safety problems and driving cutting-edge advances in the aerospace industry.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
