Job Description
The role of Engineering Technician involves providing technical and administrative support to the Non-Destructive Evaluation (NDE) engineering team. You will facilitate the processing and delivery of inspection tools, analyze NDE data, and track inspector assignments and progress. This position requires coordination of inspection assignments, tracking the progress of inspector results, requesting quotes from vendors, monitoring progress to meet schedule requirements, and verifying that all requirements are met upon delivery.
ResponsibilitiesPerform technical and inventory activities under the direction of NDE Engineers to support commercial and military engines.Prepare parts for fluorescent penetrant inspection (FPI), clean parts post-inspection, package parts, and prepare inspection documentation.Provide training and audit NDT systems.Establish NDT and general quality systems and NDT methods.Utilize root cause and process control tools.Work independently and effectively communicate with all levels of management, internal and external customers.Essential SkillsAssociate Degree or 1+ year as Technician in a Manufacturing Setting.Lab experience from school or internships.Scientific theory experience from school or internships.Proficiency in Excel.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Excellent organizational skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with SAP and Microsoft Suite.Experience with Eddy Current, Ultrasonic, and Borescope Techniques.Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing operations.Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering preferred.Experience with CNC machining and machinist apprenticeship.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
