Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Engineering Specialist to support New Product Introduction (NPI) and Production projects by ensuring that instruments are built, tested, and verified to high standards. You will collaborate with the engineering team to troubleshoot complex technical issues and propose build improvements.
ResponsibilitiesSupport the NPI and Production projects to ensure instruments are built, tested, and verified to a high standard.Propose build improvements to enhance the manufacturing process.Troubleshoot complex technical issues during instrument build activities in collaboration with the engineering team.Essential SkillsMinimum 4-5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing electromechanical devices.Strong foundation in mechanical and electrical engineering, including hardware, systems integration, and troubleshooting.Proficiency with cabling, including wiring harnesses, connectors, and signal integrity.Basic to intermediate proficiency in Windows operating system and Excel.Understanding of Managed File Transfer (MFT) protocols and ability to edit configuration files.Attention to detail to follow complex build instructions.Analytical skills for troubleshooting based on error messages, logs, diagnostics, and system behavior.Critical thinking skills, especially for aligning optical systems or diagnosing hardware/software issues.Mechanical aptitude for adjustments and optical alignment involving precision work with lasers, lenses, and mirrors.Additional Skills & QualificationsFamiliarity with optics field including imagers, lasers, and lens components.Experience in LYNX is highly preferred.Computer skills in executables and .ini files.Ability to read work instructions and know the basics of Excel.Proficiency in using tools such as multimeter, torque driver, pipette, light meter, temperature data logger, oscilloscope, and ESD equipment.Work Environment
This role is set in a dynamic manufacturing environment focused on the assembly of medical devices. You will work on a single line with a shift from 6 am to 2:30 pm. The environment fosters innovative thinking and is ideal for self-starters interested in working on diverse and complex projects.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
