Daikin Applied is hiring experienced an experience Engineering Technician to join our growing test lab on the 2nd shift.  As an Engineering Technician, you will work in support of HVAC development programs, technician installs, tests, calibrates, and repairs electromechanical and electronic measuring.

Location: Plymouth, MN – On-site

Shift hours: 2nd shift: 2:00pm - 12:30am Monday-Thursday

What you will do:

Perform laboratory testing activities in accordance with standard procedures, test requirements, and the ISO 17025 standardPerform scheduled instrument verification checks and periodic facility maintenanceSet up and operate complex laboratory equipment and instrumentsIdentify and report nonconformities and abnormal testing conditionsEnsure standards, policies, procedures, and maintenance of a clean work area are upheld at all timesMaintain a working knowledge of EH&S safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe mannerMaintain effective communication with laboratory and project teamsObtain fork truck training/license, scissor lift training/license, or refrigerant handling certificationsPerform test unit setup according to lab procedures and test request requirementsCreate records of testing activities and document them according to laboratory proceduresImprove laboratory activities on a continuous basisImplement corrective and preventative actionsAnalyze, troubleshoot, and repair test units and facilities

Minimum Qualifications:

Two-year technical degree in HVAC or a related field2+ years of related experience with residential or commercial HVACProven success in trouble shooting complex issuesExperience with MS Office programs, including Excel (or similar)Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position

Preferred Qualifications:

4+ years of related experience with commercial HVAC or a combination of Residential and Commercial HVACFork truck training/licenseMan lift training/licenseUniversal card

The typical hourly pay rate for the position ranges from $25.00 - $41.25 in Minnesota. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position(s) fall. Individual hourly pay rate will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
