Job Duties and Other Information Job Duties: -Assists in the sampling and testing of construction materials for use on DOTD construction projects to ensure compliance with DOTD policies, procedures, and specifications. -Attends required training classes and receives on-the-job training in performing materials sampling and/or testing. Complete all training for Materials Testing Specialty areas as required by the position. -Maintain an accurate and thorough inventory of all materials sampled. Enters test data into appropriate computer database and retrieves information and/or procures reports as necessary. -Maintain all testing equipment, which may include cleaning, routine calibration, maintenance and certification of sampling and testing equipment. -May be required to participate in emergency/disaster activities.
