About the Role
Reporting to the Engineering Manager,you will be responsible for providing a high level of professional expertise in maintaining our hotel to our Hyatt Brand Standards.
In this role as Engineering Supervisor, you will work alongside operational teams with the empowerment to lead a team of maintenance professionals. You will be responsible for assisting management with protecting the integrity of the hotel building, our plant rooms and equipment through general, routine and preventative maintenance of hotel assets. This role leads the Maintenance team to ensure effective maintenance service to all departments whilst upholding safety stands and supporting guest satisfaction through managing requests effectively and efficiently.
We require someone with great communication skills with experience in supervising a team and providing exceptional customer service.
Main Responsibilities
Supervise the daily engineering/maintenance operations of the hotel to ensure safety and comfort of hotel guests and team members.
Ensure WHS standards are met and maintained.
Follow brand standards along with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
Assign, track and follow up on status of work assigned to the team
Help to increase guest and employee satisfaction through effective communication and training.
Attend to operational requests from Housekeeping and other operational departments to ensure the hotel meets its working order targets.
Assist with the management of the Preventative Maintenance Program
Requirements
Relevant experience in a hotel environment.
Trade background is highly regarded but not a requirement for the role.
Ability to think outside the box be solutions focused.
Flexibility around working days and hours as required by the business.
Ability to be on call after hours and attend the hotel outside of hours if needed.
High level of both written and verbal communication.
Ability to work within timelines and deadlines as communicated by the operations team.
Proven track record in leading teams
