ENGINEERING SUPERINTENDENT PLANNER  

Position Description

The Kibali Gold Mine Team is seeking to recruit an Engineering Superintendent Planner to join and grow our team.  We are seeking a highly experienced Maintenance Superintendent to oversee and enhance our maintenance operations across multiple sites. This role is critical in ensuring that all facilities are maintained to the highest standards, maximizing operational efficiency while minimizing downtime and costs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop maintenance strategies that align with our organizational goals.

Responsibilities :

Lead and manage all maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards. Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to reduce equipment downtime and extend asset life. Oversee maintenance personnel, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to promote a high-performance culture. Conduct regular site inspections to assess maintenance needs and coordinate necessary repairs or upgrades. Utilize data-driven insights to optimize maintenance schedules and resource allocation. Collaborate with other departments to align maintenance strategies with operational objectives. Manage budgets and control costs associated with maintenance operations. Work in compliance with ISO 14001 and 45001 Standards

Qualification Requirements : 

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field. Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies. Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).

Experience and Skills Requirements: 

10+ years of experience in maintenance management within a manufacturing or industrial environment. Strong knowledge of maintenance best practices, safety regulations, and compliance standards. Proven ability to lead teams, manage projects, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data-driven decision-making. Proficient in maintenance management software and tools. Understanding of mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems. Experience with budget management and cost control strategies. Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, capable of motivating and developing a diverse team. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization. Proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making in a fast-paced environment. Commitment to promoting safety and a culture of continuous improvement.
