We are seeking a Senior Engineering Specialist in High Voltage (HV) & Interconnection to provide expert leadership and technical execution for utility?scale power generation projects, including solar, wind, and battery energy storage systems (BESS).

In this senior-level position, you will oversee major project components such as transmission lines and all high?voltage electrical systems, ensuring seamless and compliant interconnection of power generation facilities to utility grids. Your technical insight and leadership will support the safe, reliable, and innovative development of renewable energy infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities: Lead execution of design, construction, and commissioning activities, including support for Generator Interconnection Agreements (GIA) with utilities, ISOs, and RTOs. Review and optimize HV/MV substation, collection system, and transmission line designs, along with equipment specifications (transformers, breakers, switchgear, BESS, etc.). Perform or review power system studies such as power flow, short?circuit, arc?flash, grounding, and protection coordination to ensure compliance with relevant standards, codes, and company requirements. Serve as the technical liaison across internal departments (Business Development, Technical Services, Power Operations, Supply Chain, Legal, Safety, Land, Environment, and others) and external stakeholders including EPC contractors, consultants, and equipment vendors. Support procurement of HV equipment by preparing or reviewing technical bid packages, evaluating vendor submissions, and contributing expert insight into design and equipment selection. Provide elevated technical support during construction and commissioning, including on-site quality oversight, participation in acceptance testing, and leadership during final integration. Contribute to project reporting, milestone tracking, and risk management, escalating issues when required to ensure successful project delivery. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; P.E. (U.S.) or P.Eng. (Canada) required. Electrical Engineering preferred. Minimum 8 years of experience; 10–15+ years preferred with progressively increasing technical or functional leadership responsibilities. Direct experience in utility?scale power system electrical design, HV/MV integration, and interconnection across multiple North American ISOs. Strong combination of field and office engineering experience. Value?driven and collaborative mindset with the ability to balance technical performance with cost, schedule, risk, and lifecycle considerations. Strong communication and leadership skills to manage meetings and collaborate with internal and external project stakeholders. Valid driver’s license required; motor vehicle check prior to hire. Working Conditions: Office?based role with periodic field?work requirements. Approximately 10% travel; may increase to 25% during peak project milestones.
