Engineering Specialist
The Engineering Specialist will provide engineering support to the Fabrication department for day-to-day operations, to ensure the successful execution of projects and to allow the successful production and implementation of our products into the industrial automation market. **IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:** + Responsible for advancing diverse process improvements, including cell configuration, machine capacity, production quality, decreasing setup, cycle times, and equipment down time. + Creating and optimizing CNC programs for multiple types of equipment. + Capital equipment research, procurement, and installation. + Supporting and advancing Lean manufacturing processes and techniques. + Assuring machine capability with capability studies coordinated with Quality Assurance department. + Solving problems and troubleshooting within assigned areas. Active involvement and concentration in the resolution of process, production, and flow issues. + Determining the cause of the problem, formulating solutions, providing written summaries, and recommending/instituting permanent corrective action. + Alignment of manufacturing processes, globally. + Provide training and assistance to all assigned personnel. + Obey all safety rules and stop work if continuing is unsafe or will create an unsafe condition. Report all safety concerns immediately. + Perform other tasks as assigned by manager. **KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:** + Knowledge of manufacturing equipment and ability to troubleshoot using root cause analysis. + Strong mechanical abilities, troubleshooting experience with root cause analysis. + Take initiative and make quality decisions based on known policies and procedures with minimal supervision. + Possess excellent communication skills. + Act as a leader with utmost integrity, professionalism and positive attitude. + Must be a team player and lead by example. **WHO YOU ARE** : Introduce new ways of looking at problems. Can make sound decisions, even in the absence of complete information. Has a track record of exceeding goals successfully. **FOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:** + Technical/Associates degree and 5+ years plus years of prior manufacturing experience or 7+ years of manufacturing experience + CNC or Assembly experience + Strong organizational ability, communication (written and oral), interpersonal, and computer skills + While performing duties may be required to stand, walk, stoop, bend, twist and/or lift up to 50 pounds throughout an entire shift. + **Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future** + **Individuals with temporary visas such as E, F-1 (including those with OPT or CPT), H-1, H-2, L-1, B, J or TN, or who need sponsorship for work authorization now or in the future, are not eligible for hire.
