P&G’s Auburn site is located about 40 minutes from Portland - Maine's largest city - and is an integral production node within our Feminine Care business unit. Here we manufacture most of P&G's tampon products for worldwide distribution. The Auburn plant was founded in 1968 as part of Tambrands, Inc. before being acquired by P&G in 1997. Our site has almost 600 full-time employees split between technicians, engineers, and support personnel working in a variety of operating or support departments.
The PM Role
We are currently looking for 2 collaborative and technically curious Project Managers to join our manufacturing site. The work schedule for these resources is on-site, Monday through Friday. These are manufacturing focused PM roles where you will manage and drive the coordination and execution of specific project activities, varying from a portfolio of smaller projects (typically 3-5) to full ownership of a larger-scale project. Project budgets range from
$500K to $10 million. There are two focus areas for these hiring needs. PMs will be assigned to one of these areas based on their background and qualifications.
Site Facilities
Facilities expansion and upgrades
Leading construction enhancements (refreshed workspaces, huddle room installation, new cafeteria, etc)
Driving cost savings and sustainability initiatives for site utilities
Automation & Engineering
Production line installation and upgrades
Digital network architecture / site IT – OT upgrades
New products go to market launches
Capital procurement
In this role, you will:
Manage strategic projects across all stakeholders
Prepare project timelines inclusive of key project milestones, providing transparency to the project team(s) and communicating with cross-functional teams
Manage risks and define resolution strategies while creating clarity in ambiguous situations
Develop new processes and routines for increased visibility and accountability
Report on project progress and communicate relevant information to manager & leadership
Ultimately, you will help increase the output of our plant! This is an exciting role that will provide a high level of engagement, visibility, and ownership, and will leverage your previous project management and technical experience to help deliver exceptional results for our site and our company.
Job Qualifications
0-5 years of relevant project management or project engineering experience
BS or MS in an Engineering Discipline, a related technical degree, or relevant military experience
Demonstrated portfolio and project management experience with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Financial and budget management experience
Multi-functional team leadership experience
Demonstrated technical mastery, leadership, & collaboration skills
Preferred:
Prior manufacturing industry experience
Local to Maine
Project manager certifications like CAPM, PMP, etc
Starting Salary Range: $85,000.00 - $115,000.00
