Daikin Applied is seeking an Engineering Program Manager who will lead programs and projects within the Applied Air Handling Program Management Office focusing on new product development. Additionally, they will support and execute strategic initiatives and programs that will achieve Daikin’s Product Roadmaps and profitability goals. This position provides Technical, Organizational, and Strategic Program Leadership. This position leverages Engineering, Program Management, and Project Management skills and competencies to ensure Product Development goals and objectives are successfully achieved by the execution of the Applied Air Handling (AAH) business strategy. This position works very closely with Product Management and Engineering Leadership to execute Product Strategy roadmaps. All levels of Engineering Program/Project management are tasked with delivering Engineering Programs, Projects, and Initiatives within prescribed scope, time and funding parameters by performing the following duties personally or through department leadership. What you will do:
Leads new Product Development Engineering teams and collaborates with multiple functions to execute strategic initiatives and/or product roadmaps that maximize the value of the business and profitability of new productsWorks closely with business leaders to plan future projects, schedules, and manage the portfolio of projects/programs, and their interdependenciesDefine, maintain, and monitor program and project scope objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibilityMeet strategic goalsRigorously manages scope to ensure commitments are achieved within agreed-on time, cost, and quality parametersEnsure functional commitments are achieved, strong understanding of Product Development Engineering deliverables within agreed-on time, cost, and quality parameters. Understand Key Engineering Product Requirements and Deliverables: PVSR, DFMEA, PFMEA, DVP&RSuccessfully manage the relationship with key stakeholdersProvide a centralized, single point of contact for the programs and projects they manageManaging project budgets and forecasts related to project scope and timingResolve problems in assigned programs using innovative solutions and interface with others in the company, report and escalate to executive management as neededManage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costsDelegate tasks and responsibilities as appropriate, identify and resolve conflicts, manage project dependencies and constraintsManage project/ program risks and develop contingency plans where requiredPrepare and present reports periodically on the status of assigned programs and projectsWhat’s in it for you:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Scientific, Math or Physics4 to 6 years Engineering Program/Project Management, Engineering Department ManagementIndustrial Equipment, Manufacturing or Automotive Industry experienceWork visa sponsorship is not available for this positionPreferred Qualifications:
