During this summer internship session (May or June start – beginning or mid-August end date), you will be working on the Power Generation product line, which is at the heart of the electric power systems designed, manufactured, and tested in Rockford, IL. You will be a valuable member of the team, assisting with key tasks related to development programs or technology development milestones, gaining visibility into the product lifecycle from early design and research to the support of fielded product. This position is onsite, in Rockford, IL. This position may be eligible for relocation. What **You** Will Do: + You will support generator assembly and development testing. + You will assist with tool updates for electromagnetic sizing and analysis tools. + You will provide input for program office and customer actions and deliverables. + You will complete document and drawing updates as needed. What **You** Will Learn: + You will learn the basics of electromagnetics and machine design. + You will gain generator product experience and manufacturing practices for multiple parts of the design life cycle. + You will learn how to navigate a complex corporate environment, with the opportunity to interface with different groups across the organization. + You will gain an understanding of the wider company products and their impact to air travel. Qualifications **You** Must Have: + Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline. + U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
