Engineering Technician, Pool & Water Feature
Salary US $ 15.00 to $18.00 per hour, plus gratuities

We are seeking experienced hotel engineering technicians for the role/s of Pool & Water Feature Technician within our engineering department. Job Summary:
As a Pool & Water Feature Technician you are responsible for:
•Assisting with the operation, maintenance, service and repair of equipment as assigned.
•Participating in the preventative maintenance program, handling guest requests and other work orders as assigned.
•Performing the job in a safe and efficient manner and performing trade jobs, such as carpentry, painting, plumbing, etc.
•Cleaning, vacuuming pools, spas and water features including all tiled and plaster surfaces.
•Testing and recording water quality as per Hyatt standards.
•Maintaining accurate logs of all tests as per Hyatt standards.
•Ability to make corrective action using chemicals provided to maintain water quality within required standards.
•Cleaning of all Pumps, filtration equipment and strainers or skimmers.
•Repairs to pool plumbing and monitoring systems. Individuals must have proven experience and knowledge for the necessary skills for replacing and repairing pool pumps, filters, sanitization systems, heaters, timers, and emergency switches etc
Education & Experience:
•Required to have a minimum of 1 year experience of maintaining pools, spa and water features.
• CPO certification is desired. If this certification is not already obtained, then you will be required to successfully pass the course and obtain CPO certification within six months of commencement of employment – this will be a pre-requisite.
•Ability to successfully carry out repair/s of pool plumbing and monitoring systems. Individuals must have proven experience and knowledge for the necessary skills for replacing and repairing pool pumps, filters, sanitization systems, heaters, timers, and emergency switches etc.
•Must be able to swim.
•Valid driver’s license required.
•Provide a clean police record.
•Able to work without supervision.
•Communicate well with others in a polite, professional and engaging manner.
•Hours of employment will vary and may include hours between 11pm and 7am, 6 days per week including holidays.
