FTE: 1.0, Shift: Evenings, Schedule: Sunday through Thursday 14:30pm-2300pm

Position Summary

The Engineering Mechanic II is an intermediate level opportunity on our Facility Operations team. In this role, you will ensure patients and families have the best possible experience when visiting MultiCare locations and facilities.

Responsibilities

You will perform maintenance and major/minor repairs on facility equipment and systemsYou will conduct daily operations and initiate corrective actionYou will assist in training and mentorship of other staffYou will collaborate with supervisor in obtaining bids and inspections on externally run projectsYou will partner with a service-oriented attitude and professional integrity

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent preferredCertificate of Licensure in one or more of the above identified areas preferredAccomplished in six of the following basic areas: electrical, plumbing/mechanical, machine shop, general building maintenance, steam distribution, electronics, pneumatic tube system, AGVS, CPD equipment, fire alarm initiating and suppression systems, med gas, beds, and nurse callMinimum five (5) years maintenance experienceCurrent Washington State Drivers License; and proof of a safe driving record (which meets established MHS Standards) obtained by a motor vehicle report from the appropriate state

Additional Requirements for Mary Bridge Children's Hospital Include:

Completion of Vocational Trade/Tech certification program or Certificate of Licensure in the identified areasMedical gas ASSE 6040 certification after hireASHE Certified Health Care Physical Environment Worker required within 6 months of hireOn Call Required

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $54.70 - $54.70 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
