Eaton India Innovation Center is looking for Engineering Manager – Software Verification & Validation Electrification Strategy to lead software Verification and Validation of the Electrification Strategy catering Mobility, Aerospace & Electrical Groups. We are looking for motivated professionals with strong experience in driving software product Verification and Validation in embedded application and possess effective communication skills. Playing a key role for growing Verification and Validation capabilities based on the Electrification Strategy of Mobility, Aerospace, Electrical software Products. This position is based at our office in Magarpatta City, Pune.
Success in this position requires the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment, strong motivation for pursuing project objectives and the ability to learn and develop new techniques and Test processes. We are looking for candidates who are able to see the bigger picture, strength in embedded Software Verification and Validation process.
What you’ll do:
• Responsible for developing the technical and organizational talent to drive the objectives for infrastructure and intellectual capability building to meet organizational processes (Talent acquisition, performance management, Organizational and Technical capability assessment framework)
• Retain/hire/Mentor Technical Talents
• Collaborates closely with global and local teams to efficiently develop and implement growth strategies and technical roadmaps for proactively influencing and providing solutions.
• Efficiently applies the organizational processes to achieve the objectives and outcomes. Continuously look for opportunities to improve the processes by applying DFSS, LEAN and DMAIC principles.
• Participate in Scrum ceremonies including Daily Stand-Up, Sprint Planning, Backlog Grooming, Sprint Retrospectives.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in engineering in Electronics/Electrical engineering
• 10+ years of overall experience including 3+ years of experience as Software Test Team Manager with a team size of 5 to 10 engineers or more. At least 3 -4 years of experience in people management, managing high complexity projects and diverse teams.
• 7+ years of hands-on expertise in Embedded Software Verification and Validation.
Skills:
• Strong People management Skills with proven record of leading a large team and meeting the Global Stakeholders' expectation. Passion for people profiling and career guidance of employees with diverse skill set.
• Experience in Test Automation, Hardware in loop (HiL), Different Verification and Validation strategies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, Problem solving skills, Working in ambiguity, process management.
• Familiar with National Instruments, Vector, dSPACE & ETAS Test Tools
• Good Knowledge of software engineering process and standards (ASPICE, ISO26262, Agile, DO178B/C, is)
• Good knowledge of GitHub, JIRA and Agile/SAFe methodologies
• Strong stakeholder orientation, willingness to meet deadlines, and self-management skills.
• Passion for solving problems to resolution, good root cause analysis skill.
• Ability to work and collaborate in a dynamic team environment.
• Clear and concise oral and written communication skills
• Ensure the testing and delivery of software releases on HiL systems according to Release Plan
• Ensure the availability and management of required resources to meet the deliveries.
• Act as a first point of escalation for all project & business related queries.
• As a part of leadership team, ensure alignment & implement project strategy in line with organization strategy.
• Lead cross functional activities & collaborate with leadership team as needed.
• Flexible to travel globally based on business need to participate in various supplier discussions, technical and management discussion.
• Good know how of Test System know-how and commissioning process.
• Global working experience preferred.
• Ability to intervene and resolve conflicts – technical, people and strategy.
