Manager of Engineering and construction (PV - Utility and distributed generation) 

 

Key Responsibilities

? Engineering Management

Coordinate with overseas engineering centers (layout, yield simulation, basic design, etc.) Review and validate technical deliverables Manage grid connection applications and analyze responses from utilities Evaluate technical feasibility considering land and grid constraints Align with internal teams (Development, Finance, Asset Management) Support internal review and approval of EPC designs

 

? Construction Management

Select, contract, and manage EPC vendors for onsite solar projects Manage construction schedule, cost, quality, and safety (QCDS) Resolve site issues and liaise with local governments and utilities Oversee final inspections and establish safety control frameworks

 

Requirements

Must Have

5+ years of engineering experience in solar projects (Utility scale or/and distributed generation) Knowledge in layout design, energy yield simulation (e.g. PVsyst), electrical and civil basics Hands-on experience with EPCs and utility negotiations Native-level Japanese and strong technical English communication
