**What you’ll do:**
**Job Summary**
• Lead, mentor and coach a software engineering team focused on the development and validation of Application embedded software for manual transmission systems.
• Responsible for capacity planning, resource management, and project staffing to meet external and internal customer deliverables and expectations for various projects, including the use of global and external resources.
• Drive common and robust development standards, tools, and processes with a focus on continuous improvement/design efficiency initiatives
• Work in a matrixed environment with Regional CoE Management
• Interface with product engineering teams, suppliers, customers, and external consultants/contractors
• Champion the adoption of modern design tools and Agile practices to build a high-performing, continuously learning software organization
• Contribute to definition of global Software strategy and roadmap
• Ensure self and team complies with any local and global safety standards including the Life Saving Rules"
**Job Responsibilities**
- Responsible for creating sprints, managing sprint backlog and adapting the plan each day toward the sprint goal for system engineering.
- Contributes to requirement review and validation at all levels to build confidence that compliance can be demonstrated to customer requirements.
- Keep current capabilities to develop transmissions, develop new expertise aiming continuous improvement in the development processes and focus in the future industry and product transformation in order to foresee new expertise demand and plan the expertise transition;
- Build a diverse organization capability of expert, hiring and developing young talents.
- Build a pleasant work environment and provide development plan and opportunities in order to assure retention;
- Profit Plan & rolling forecast support, aligning with business and financial.
- Leverage and implement agile practices.
**Qualifications:**
**Education level required:**
+ Engineering bachelor’s degree
**Experience required:**
+ Significant experience in product development (ideally in the automotive or transmission field).
+ Experience acting as a leader, managing technical teams.
+ Strong knowledge of transmission products, such as 6-speed, 8-speed, or 10-speed systems.
+ Experience with MathWorks tools (e.g., MATLAB, Simulink).
+ Advanced English skills (not only speaking, but overall strong communication), as this person will interact with U.S.-based counterparts and other global leaders.
