Engineering Manager - Banking
Job Location: Bangalore
Required Skills & Experience:
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.15+ years of software development experience, with at least 3–5 years in a technical leadership or managerial role.Strong hands-on experience with modern tech stacks (e.g., Java, .NET, Python, microservices, APIs, cloud platforms like AWS/GCP/Azure).Proven experience in leading engineering teams in Agile/Scrum environments.Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, CI/CD practices, and DevOps culture.Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.Experience working with geographically distributed teams is a plus.Domain experience in payments, banking, or financial services is highly desirable.Your Skills and Experience
Demonstrable experience leading an Engineering or Infrastructure team in deliveryBeing an enabler - setting the direction and being able to remove blockersProven experience in managing a diverse team, with the ability and passion for mentoring and upskillingPrevious experience with people leadership, resource management, team building and hiringData and detailed focused delivery with the ability to produce accurate reporting on status, blockers, throughput and sprint cadence.Know how to get the best out of cloud native tools, services and concepts, to efficiently deliver workloads to cloud.A keen interest in setting the team up to use automation - where appropriate - to not only speed up the delivery of services but also improve the day to day repeatability and consistency in infrastructure deployments and workload configurations.Understanding the importance of, and experience with, infrastructure-as-code developmentUnderstanding of cloud change management practices with an awareness of compliance and security standards.Excellent engagement skills, managing and coordinating between partners, acknowledging Security, Network, Architecture and Service Management requirements.At DXC Technology, we believe strong connections and community are key to our success.
