Engineering Manager

Main Duties

· Train engineering department staff on correct maintenance procedures and assists in repairs as needed.

· Perform daily and weekly property document inspections.

· Assist the chief engineer in the day-to-day work and oversee thepreventive maintenanceof all equipment.

· Prepare reports as required by Chief Engineer/General Manager.

· Discuss with Chief Engineer on maintenance and inspection reports.

· Responding to corporate and management inquiries.

· Able to represent engineering department during the absence of Chief engineer.

· Attend all Facility Management meetings as required, passing on necessary information to the maintenance team in regular junior staff meetings.

· Supervise and train all Engineering staff in Customer Service, Empowerment, Standard Operating Procedures and Loss Prevention.

· Prepare written reports as required.

· Ensure proper records are kept relating to all plants and equipment for the hotel including repair and service records.

· Assisting in the oversight of capital and operational budget.

· Assist in developing financial forecasts and actively participate in monthly profit/loss review meetings.

· Must be knowledgeable in HVAC, Refrigeration, and Electrical Engineering.

· 5–8 years of progressive hotel operations experience, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership role.

· Proven track record in improving operational performance.

· Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to lead in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

· Previous experience with international hospitality brands preferred.
