ENGINEERING MANAGER
Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead and develop our engineering team within an automotive manufacturing environment.

The role is responsible for overseeing product design, process optimization, and manufacturing performance, ensuring alignment with business objectives and compliance with industry standards. The successful candidate will bring strong technical expertise, leadership capability, and a solid understanding of automotive production systems.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers and technical staff Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement Support team performance, development, and technical capability growth

Engineering & Product Development

Oversee design, development, and validation of automotive components and systems Apply DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly) principles Ensure smooth transition from design to production

Process Optimization & Manufacturing Excellence

Drive initiatives for cost reduction, quality improvement, and operational efficiency Optimize manufacturing processes using Lean, Six Sigma, and Industry 4.0 methodologies Ensure effective integration of engineering solutions into production

Project & Quality Management

Lead engineering projects from concept through to implementation Ensure delivery within scope, timeline, and budget Manage APQP, PPAP, and FMEA processes Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and other relevant standards

Cross-Functional & External Collaboration

Work closely with Production, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to resolve technical issues Collaborate with suppliers and OEMs on component development and validation Align engineering strategies with senior leadership and business objectives

Innovation & Industry Awareness

Stay up to date with industry developments, including EV technologies, lightweight materials, and automation Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field 10–15 years of experience in automotive manufacturing Minimum 5 years in a leadership or management role Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing processes, including: Stamping Welding Casting Machining Assembly Experience with quality and product development frameworks (APQP, PPAP, FMEA) Technical Skills Proficiency in CAD/CAM tools (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, AutoCAD) Experience with PLM and ERP systems Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles Work Environment On-site role within a manufacturing environment Willingness to relocate to the factory location Standard 5-day working week Key Competencies Strong leadership and team management skills Strategic thinking and problem-solving ability Effective communication across all organizational levels Results-oriented with a focus on continuous improvement
