Engineering Manager

Join Ecolab’s manufacturing operation as our Engineering Manager in Garland, TX. In this critical chemical manufacturing plant engineering role, you will lead the technical resources responsible for delivery of reliable and safe operations, capital projects, innovation, infrastructure and services to the site.  This position will also partner to provide technical leadership for Ecolab Safety, Health & Environmental (SH&E) policies and procedures on site.  Develop, deploy and implement programs to ensure optimum performance of assets, support implementation of TPM Programs.

What You Will Do:

Lead the planning and execution of annual and long-term capital improvement projects.

Champion a culture of accountability and continuous improvement

Manage team performance and support talent development and succession planning

Align project priorities with plant leadership and ensure strong cross-functional collaboration

Oversee up to 40 projects at once—guiding teams and managing budgets, timelines, and outcomes

Maintain engineering and construction standards while applying Lean and Visual Factory principles

Ensure compliance with safety programs including lockout/tagout, confined space, and contractor safety

Drive a proactive maintenance transformation using Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) strategies

Partner with plant leadership to influence strategic decisions on technology and reliability

Collaborate with peers across North America to improve equipment reliability and asset lifecycle performance

Lead efforts to identify and reduce process safety risks using tools like MOC, PSSR, and PHA.

Develop and maintain process safety procedures, training, and compliance audits

Facilitate and coordinate Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) sessions, including third-party engagements

Lead or support incident investigations and represent the site during safety audits

Champion site sustainability initiatives

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering

7 years of related industrial engineering experience

5 years of team leadership and project management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

MBA or advanced technical degree

Lean Six Sigma Green / Black Belt certification

Experience with OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM)

3 years’ experience with lean manufacturing

3 years’ experience managing Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range

The base salary range for this position is $104,700.00 - $157,100.00. This position is eligible for annual bonus pay based on performance, per plan terms. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
