Engineering Manager

We are currently seeking a Engineering Manager to lead all engineering activities at our Ashkelon Depot.

This role is pivotal in shaping the long-term strategy for asset planning and maintenance integrity, supporting Siemens' operational and growth objectives.


Key Responsibilities

Oversee all engineering aspects related to Siemens-maintained rolling stock and depot infrastructure. Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary engineering team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation. Set engineering standards and implement cross-functional management processes and governance systems. Develop requirements for maintenance management platforms to ensure certified, timely, and cost-effective asset maintenance. Provide technical engineering support, including managing high-risk and safety-related defects and leading root cause investigations. Ongoing collaboration with the engineering team in Germany, including weekly meetings, troubleshooting, development of engineering solutions, and ticket handling as needed." Obsolesce parts solutions and managing. Lead engineering changes and fleet modifications, ensuring compliance with regulations, standards, financial targets, and contractual obligations. Optimize maintenance plans and overhaul capabilities, driving continuous improvement and reliability growth. Manage technical assurance, performance reviews, risk resolution, and corrective actions. Drive strategic asset planning to support future fleet expansion. Support engineering optimization by identifying alternative overhaul and repair procedures. Contribute to program planning, risk analysis, and long-term asset needs. Ensure compliance with current and emerging engineering safety standards and processes. Develop and govern frameworks for consistent delivery across services and projects.

Planning and technical coordination across internal and external interfaces. Effective technical support for train maintenance teams.

Requirements

B.Sc. in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, High voltage license – a significant advantage. Minimum of 7 years of experience in the transport field. Trains field experience – a significant advantage. Proven experience in managing engineers and leading cross-functional projects. High-level proficiency in English; German is an advantage. Deep understanding of engineering standards and materials.
