About the Role
We are hiring an experienced Engineering Manager to lead engineering operations within a manufacturing environment in the automotive sector.
You will oversee product design, process improvement, and production support while ensuring alignment with quality standards and business objectives.
This role requires a strong mix of technical expertise, leadership, and hands-on experience in automotive manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage a team of engineers, designers, and technical staff
Oversee design, development, and validation of automotive components
Ensure smooth transition of engineering solutions into production
Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles
Drive cost reduction, quality improvement, and efficiency initiatives
Optimize manufacturing processes using Lean, Six Sigma, and Industry 4.0 approaches
Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to resolve technical issues
Manage engineering projects from concept to execution within timelines and budget
Handle APQP, PPAP, and FMEA processes
Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and relevant standards
Work closely with suppliers and OEMs for product development and validation
Align engineering strategy with overall business goals
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
10–15 years of experience in automotive manufacturing
Minimum 5 years in a leadership role
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes such as stamping, welding, casting, machining, and assembly
Experience with APQP, PPAP, and FMEA methodologies
Familiarity with automotive quality standards (IATF 16949, ISO 9001)
Proficiency in CAD/CAM tools (SolidWorks, CATIA, AutoCAD)
Experience working with PLM and ERP systems
Strong problem-solving and leadership skills
