Description:Lockheed Martin Space is seeking an Electronics Engineering Manager to lead a missile electrical architecture and integration team.

Location: Although this position does support some teleworking; the selected candidate will need to be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in: Sunnyvale CA, Huntsville AL., or Littleton CO and be expected to work in the office as needed and as appropriate.



What does this role look like?

Join us where you will lead a team of engineers developing missile avionics for use across Lockheed Martin Space. In this role, you are responsible for managing an interdisciplinary engineering team in design, assembly, test and integration of development of avionics hardware.



Key responsibilities in this role:

• Lead the development of a new defense system.
• Direct team through analysis to increase confidence in design, drive closure.
• Lead cost, schedule, and technical effort related to management of scope, size, cost estimation, planning, scheduling, staffing, tracking.
• Preparation for and participation in major program design reviews Critical Design Review (CDR), Manufacturing Readiness Review (MRR), Test Readiness Review (TRR).
• Leadership duties will also include the support of: selection and hiring of staff, performance evaluations, promotions, job actions, career planning, training, leadership assessment, mentoring, merit distribution, personnel and hardware safety mitigation.



To be effective in this role, you will need:

• 10+ years of professional experience for this role.
• A final DoD Secret clearance is required.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college in Electronics/Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education.

• Experience with aerospace flight hardware integration and test at the component and next higher assembly.

• Project Leadership/Management Experience throughout the engineering life cycle: architecture, design, assembly, test, and integration of avionics hardware.

• Active DoD Secret clearance, thus a US Citizen.
Desired Skills:
• Experience with cross-functional teams located in different locations.
• Experience in development of electronics products.
• Missile program avionics hardware experience.
• Previous experience as a Certified Principle Engineer (CPE) or Product Lead.
• Demonstrated experience leading a large problem investigation and root cause analysis effort.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and customers, simultaneously and independently.
• Ability to drive hardware production activities through delivery to the program.
• Previous experience mentoring employees.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $122,900 - $216,660. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $141,300 - $244,835.
