Job Purpose
Responsible for piping and layout engineering activities for off plot FEED Project ensuring that all piping and layout activities comply with project requirements and specification through effective collaboration and management of engineering contractor and stakeholder to ensure on time project delivery.
Job Context Position is in Doha office or located in Project Site Offices (Field Operations Center) in Ras Laffan, Qatar. Provides visible safety leadership through active participation in the off plot Project Safety Program Reviews the design developed by the Contractor and verify compliance with standards and objectives. Understand and communicate the requirements of Company to Contractor Efficiently translate Company requirements and data into an efficient delivery from the FEED Contractor and verify compliance with Company requirements, standards, specifications and instructions Manage the FEED Contractor in the safe delivery of the design scope. Monitor the progress and delivery of piping and layout works meeting project schedule and milestones Qualification
Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Knowledge 8 years experience in Engineering roles, including 4 years in the Oil & Gas Industry, and including 1 year experience in a supervisory or acting role, or oversight of contractor/sub contractors/service/vendor personnel. Experience with Oil & Gas Companies, EPC contractors, sub contractors, vendors or service companies involved in the oil and gas industry. Strong knowledge and application of international engineering standards, specifications and design. SME level competency in Piping and Layout discipline. Experience with sour service gas and LNG facilities Experience in berth design and Seabed dredging is an advantage. Brownfield engineering and execution knowledge Knowledge of the major 3D modelling software Knowledge of piping material selection
