Military Flight Controls Division Supporting aircraft worldwide, Parker Aerospace’s Military Flight Controls Division (MFCD) provides primary and secondary flight control systems that make flight possible. Tested, proven and trusted in commercial and military applications for decades, MFCD provides precise position-control actuation solutions for military aircraft across the United States and with foreign partners. The division’s JetPipe® electrohydraulic servovalve (EHSV) technology is used across commercial and military aircraft around the world. Headquartered in Irvine, California, the Military Flight Controls Division is the global leader in fly-by-wire flight control systems and electrohydraulic products and offers the world's most advanced motor design capabilities for flight controls.
POSITION SUMMARY:
By joining our Engineering Internship program, you will become a valued member of our team - tackling challenging issues, delivering truly impactful results, and providing you the opportunity to grow both technically and personally through practical working experience. You will use the fundamental principles of mechanical, electrical, industrial, or other engineering disciplines to support the design, evaluation, and improvement of new products as well as existing components and/or systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Acquire knowledge of various department operations, functions, responsibilities and work flow.
+ Complete well‐defined work assignments and actively participate in hands‐on projects and/or special assignments.
+ Learn and become proficient at systems and procedures applicable to work assignments and functional area.
+ Maintain communication with team leader to include feedback on assignments, scheduling, and program improvements. Immediate work direction may be assigned to an experienced team member.
+ Perform other related responsibilities

QUALIFICATIONS:
+ Enrolled in un iversity coursework toward a college degree in Engineering.
+ Ability to work effectively in a variety of administrative, technical and manufacturing assignments.
+ Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with all contacts.
+ Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player.

Competitive Compensation
+ Pay Range: $14.85/hr to $24.75/hr
+ No benefit plan eligibility
+ Eligible for Paid Sick Leave in accordance with state requirements.
Please note that the salary range information is only applicable for California. Compensation is based on a variety of factors, candidate experience, qualifications, location as well as market and business considerations.
