Location: Plymouth, MN in office 5 days per week

Timeline: This Internship opportunity is for May-August 2026

Essential Responsibilities:

You will own your own project(s) with support from the NTI Engineering teamDay-to-day work will include:Contribute to technical project plans for new or upgrades to existing test equipmentContribute to New technology project(s) with research, calculations and AnalysisDevelop prototypes and conduct design of experiments and Analyze dataTroubleshoot testing, Critical thinking, and designing solutions to key knowledge gaps in project(s)Develop HVAC and technical expertiseCollaborate cross-functionally with Engineers, test technicians and Manufacturing experts to accomplish project(s)

Minimum Qualifications:

Sophomore or Junior currently enrolled in an accredited degree program in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical EngineeringExperience in the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position

Preferred Qualifications:

Formal coursework in the areas of measurement systems, heat transfer, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, machine design, and/or strength of materialsExperience with testing expertise, and simulation tool expertise (MATLAB, Python, Dymola, EES, etc)GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, preferred 3.5 or betterReside within a 300-mile radius of our Plymouth, MN office

The typical hourly pay rate for this position is $24/hr - $29/hr. This represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
