Job DescriptionAECOM is currently seeking an Engineering Intern based in our Edmonton, AB, Canada office.
Job Responsibilities Include:
Perform a variety of tasks in support of construction activitiesField work involving travel, shift work, weekend work, and long hoursRemote work as requiredConstruction and Site ActivitiesConstruction supervision and inspections; including nuclear densometer testing and synthetic liner inspectionsCoordinate with contractor for required testing and quality assurance and quality control inspectionsFollow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environmentProvide daily construction reports via written and verbal communication meansMeasure and track quantitiesCalculate grades, volumes, distances, etc.Support project scheduling and progress trackingTechnical and Design SupportAssist with preparation of drawings, specifications, and technical documentsReview plans and shop drawings for compliance with project standardsSupport quality assurance and quality control processesCoordinate with multidisciplinary teams to resolve design and construction issuesWrite and compile construction reportsProject Management and AnalysisAssist in cost estimation and budget trackingParticipate in project meetings and document action itemsPerform data input and analysisProfessional ConductWork with and maintain positive relationships with clients and contractorsDeliver communications, including verbal and written, in a timely, accurate and professional mannerCarry out all duties in a safe and responsible mannerQualificationsMinimum requirements:
Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and must have completed at least 3 years of study. Candidates who have recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree and plan to continue with the master’s degree are eligible to apply for this position. Recent graduates must have been enrolled in their bachelor’s degree in the most previous school term with an interest in pursuing an advanced degree in the same or similar discipline at the conclusion of the internship.Preferred Skills:
