**Job Description**
We are looking for a motivated and talented current college student majoring in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering to join our team for the 2026 Summer Internship. This role offers hands-on experience working with FPGA development and electronic hardware design, supporting real-world engineering projects in a collaborative environment.
As an intern, you will assist with designing, testing, and implementing FPGA solutions, as well as contributing to the development and troubleshooting of electronic hardware systems. Ideal candidates should possess a foundational understanding of digital logic, circuit design, and programming languages commonly used in hardware development (such as VHDL or Verilog). Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn are essential.
The internship will run during the summer of 2026, and offers valuable exposure to industry professionals and practical applications of academic knowledge.
This position is located in scenic and historic Southern Maryland in the St. Mary's County Technology Corridor adjacent to the Patuxent River Naval Air Station.
There is no monetary relocation assistance budgeted for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to St. Mary's County, Maryland or surrounding areas.
**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**
Currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor's degree college program in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering and have completed at least one year of coursework

This position is covered by a wage law called the McNamara-O'Hara Service Contract Act (SCA). The wage range for this position is determined by the Wage and Hour Division of the Department of Labor on a contract-by-contract basis.
Temporary employees generally are not eligible for BAE Systems benefits, but can elect to participate in the 401(k) savings plan. Temporary employees working 20 hours per week are eligible for medical benefits, the employee assistance program, and business travel accident insurance. You may be eligible to receive a cash payment in lieu of certain benefits. Any such payments would be governed by the contract(s) on which you work, a Department of Labor Wage Determination, and your work schedule.
