As an Engineering Intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience designing and supporting innovative solutions for these specialized vehicles and equipment. 

You will work closely with experienced engineering peers, mentors and managers to develop technical skills in electrical, mechanical, or manufacturing engineering, while contributing to real-world projects that drive our mission of delivering customized, high-quality trucks and equipment.

What you will do

Support a variety of engineering tasks with the goal to develop technical, social, and ethical skillsLearn basic principles of EngineeringWork under the guidance of experienced engineers on design projectsExercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company resources and conduct

Electrical Engineers - System design  

Schematic creation and maintenance3D conductor routing and CAD modeling Creation of harness and pinout drawings Electrical component sizing, specification, and selection Troubleshooting electrical issues on a range of products Providing guidance to shop floor on new installations Deep understanding of Bill of Material (BOM) structures Create detail drawings of 3D models (SolidWorks) Assist technical publications in creation of manuals (parts books, service manuals, operator manuals)

Manufacturing Engineers

Document designs using 3D solid (SolidWorks and/or OnShape) and 2D drafting software (AutoCAD)Evaluate weight and balance issues for road worthiness and crane stabilityAssist Manufacturing Engineering with development of work ordersMaintain revision control on drawings and other controlled documentsGenerate manuals for designed equipment as requiredData entry for Product Data Management system

Mechanical Engineers

Document designs using 3D solid (SolidWorks and/or OnShape) and 2D drafting software (AutoCAD)Create detailed drawings of 3D models (SolidWorks and/or OnShape)Create sales support drawingsAnalyze product failures, develop repairs and redesign accordinglyEvaluate weight and balance issues for road worthiness and crane stabilityAssist Manufacturing Engineering with development of work ordersMaintain revision control on drawings and other controlled documentsGenerate manuals for designed equipment as requiredData entry for Product Data Management system

What you will bring

Pursuit of Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Manufacturing, Mechanical or Aerospace EngineeringProficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, OnShape, Inventor, AutoCAD, Draftsight, etc Proficiency in MS Office, specifically Excel and Word Required Skills and Qualifications

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

Electrical Engineer Candidates

Knowledge of controls programming Knowledge and experience with CAN buss Experience with SolidWorks CAD software Experience with SolidWorks Electrical Routing Design software – 2D (AutoCAD preferred)
