The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the development of a system that automates the creation of 3D models and engineering drawings. The internship will provide hands-on experience in software development and engineering design while working on a real-world project. Responsibilities: + Work with the engineering team to analyse and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and requirements + Assist in the development of an application and generate the algorithms to automate the drawing creation process + Test and debug the system to ensure it meets project specifications + Collaborate with team members to monitor and maintain the system, making improvements and updates as needed + Learn and apply engineering design principles and standards + Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to the project Requirements: + Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Engineering or a related field + Requires some coursework or experience in object orientated programming languages such as Visual Basic / VBA / C# + Basic knowledge of 3D modelling software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD or Inventor + Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail + Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment + Strong communication and interpersonal skills Behavioural Traits: + Self-motivated with a strong work ethic + Willingness to learn and apply new skills + Results-driven and focused on meeting project goals and deadlines + Flexible and adaptable to changing project requirements
