LIFE AS A THALES DELIVERY MANAGEMENT - DISCIPLINE MANAGEMENT ROLE :

As a Delivery Management - Discipline Management Role within Thales, you will:

Provide the cost estimates built with the disciplines to the Bids Support bids, products and projects delivery (with BM, PM, EDM being accountable for solutions deliveries for both CFRD and SFRD) Represent the CC in project reviews.Manage the reuse of components and Building blocks within the Solutions Ensure co-engineering across disciplines Ensure the knowledge and assets dedicated to delivery discipline are capitalised and sharedGuarantee that continuous improvement actions, decided per disciplines, are implemented on the projects & products which need them.Tailor and deploy practices and tools (for EDM & WPM) across projects and productsCollaborate with the HoD to ensure that the right skills needed are allocated at the right time to the project/product (with respect to PPM/PMs’ requests)Support Unit Manager in Management of Delivery Leads (i.e. a pool of resources composed of EDM, WPM, PrO) and ensure: their development (skills management, coaching, career development, mindset), the adequacy with the expected needs (quality and quantity) at the right time.

Ideal Profile:

You graduated with a Master of Engineering Computer Science or Electronics, and you have significant experience in team management (ideally within a technical, industrial environment) You have strong business acumen and wish you had the opportunity to dedicate yourself and bring value to the customers  You are a born leader and look forward occupying a position of responsibility within a challenging environment You have proven dedication and willingness towards continuous improvement and encourage capitalization and knowledge sharing  You demonstrate, as a recognized team-player, good interpersonal skills and foster collaborative work  You are said to be rigorous and organized.

You are able to evolve in a technical environment and understand what is at stake in order to make the most appropriate decisions for your scope You are able to collaborate and interface with the various stakeholders in order to ensure the cohesion of your organisation, which you support with a global and strategic vision You know how to simplify and break down complex problems: you prioritize and coordinate resources accordingly, demonstrating your ability to allocate tasks efficiently. You know how to use your organizational skills in order to guarantee the follow-up of engineering projects, respecting deadlines, costs and quality with a clear vision of risks and opportunities (Delivery Leads management development, appropriate staffing).You master several co-engineering techniques and are able to apply Lean Management or Agile principles to team managementExperience working on Safety critical avionics applications, experience with avionics standards.
