Join us. **Job Description** **AECOM is hosting an exclusive, invitation-only hiring event in Atlanta, GA on February 11-12, 2026.** This is a great opportunity to learn and connect with AECOM for career opportunities starting Spring/Summer 2026. **The event kicks off on Wednesday evening with a networking mixer** where you can hear from AECOM staff about various projects, career paths, and the company itself. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about and connect with AECOM for early career opportunities. **AECOM** is seeking an **Engineering/Data Science Intern** to be based in **Atlanta, GA** . The Engineering/Data Science Intern will play a vital role in supporting the Transportation Management Center (TMC) operations and quality assurance efforts. This position offers hands-on experience in data analysis, dashboard optimization, and quality audits, while providing the opportunity to shadow experienced professionals in the field. Internships at AECOM offer students in undergraduate and graduate programs the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in engineering, design, and infrastructure projects that make a real-world impact. Interns work with cutting-edge technology, learn industry best practices, and collaborate with experienced professionals in a globally recognized firm. The program fosters both technical and professional skill development while providing networking opportunities that can enhance future career prospects. Additionally, AECOM’s dedication to innovation and sustainability enables interns to contribute to meaningful projects that help shape communities and the built environment. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: + **Data Management & Analysis:** + Create a comprehensive Data Dictionary for existing Power BI dashboards using provided templates. + Assist in dashboard design and optimization to improve functionality and user experience. + **Quality Assurance:** + Conduct initial audits for calls placed by 511 operators to understand quality process. + Develop unit tests based on simple errors to partially automate the audit process. + **Operational Support:** + Shadow the Operations Quality Manager to gain insights into quality management practices. + Observe and learn from 511 operators at the Transportation Management Center to understand operational workflows and challenges. **Qualifications** **Minimum Requirements:** + Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Data science or related field and must have completed at least 1 year of study. Candidates who have graduated with a Bachelor’s degree and plan to continue with the Master’s degree are eligible to apply for these positions. Graduates must have been enrolled in their bachelor’s degree in the most previous school term with an interest in pursuing an advanced degree in the same or similar discipline at the conclusion of the internship. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Excellent oral and written communication skills. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). + Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset. + Highly organized with strong attention to detail. + Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. **Additional Information** + Relocation assistance is not available for this position. + Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position. + This position requires a hybrid work schedule which includes in office work in Atlanta, GA. The selected candidate must be available to work in Atlanta, GA on a scheduled basis. Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
