What will I be doing?
Engineering Coordinator serving Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi supports the efficient operation of the Engineering Department through effective coordination, administration, and communication. The role assists the Director of Engineering and departmental leaders with daily activities, maintenance schedules, documentation, and compliance with Hilton standards. Key responsibilities include managing work requests, monitoring preventive maintenance programs, and ensuring accurate records. The position also fosters positive team member relations, high morale, and the Hilton culture as part of the Employee Value Proposition. By streamlining processes and supporting overall departmental functions, the Engineering Coordinator helps deliver safe, reliable facilities that enhance guest satisfaction and achieve business objectives. Specifically, as the Engineering Coordinator will perform the following tasks to the highest standards:
Support daily operations of the Engineering Department, ensuring smooth coordination and compliance with policies.
Maintain accurate documentation, logs, inventories, and records of maintenance requests, purchases, and costs.
Assist in planning, organizing, and managing maintenance schedules, projects, and construction activities.
Ensure compliance with safety, fire, hygiene, health, and environmental standards.
Monitor GSTS/SALT results, identify training needs, and implement improvements for guest satisfaction.
Manage communication with team members, guests, suppliers, contractors, and other departments.
Support Engineering leadership (DOE/ACE) in HR functions, scheduling, training, and team motivation.
Control departmental costs, inventories, and resources while ensuring quality and efficiency.
Assist in procurement, sourcing, and vendor management to secure cost-effective, quality materials.
Track and report contractor performance, expenses, and project progress.
Foster positive guest relations by anticipating needs and delivering proactive, professional service.
Cultivate teamwork, morale, and accountability across the department through meetings and feedback.
Contribute to training, performance appraisals, and succession planning for team development.
Demonstrate flexibility, punctuality, and responsibility by supporting management and performing any assigned duties.

Diploma or higher-level qualification related to Engineering or Administration.
2 to 3 years of experience in Engineering department or related professional area.
