Engineering Controls Manager
Job Title: Controls Engineering Manager Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Controls Engineering Manager to lead and manage a dynamic team focused on the design, development, and implementation of control systems. This role is pivotal in driving the integration and optimization of control systems within manufacturing processes and equipment. Responsibilities + Manage the controls engineering team, ensuring effective design, development, and implementation of control systems. + Develop and execute strategies for the integration and optimization of control systems in manufacturing processes and equipment. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product development, operations, and quality assurance. + Provide technical support during assembly and manage Final Assembly Test; support field service with remote and onsite technical assistance. + Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in all control systems and processes. + Drive continuous improvement initiatives. + Mentor and develop team members. + Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively. + Prepare and present technical reports and proposals to stakeholders and management. + Serve as the controls engineering subject matter expert, providing guidance and mentorship to the engineering team. Essential Skills + Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field. + 5+ years of experience in control systems engineering, including at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role. + Strong understanding of process automation and industrial controls. + HMI Programming experience in FTview and Allen-Bradley environments. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in packaging or food/beverage automation is preferred. + Proficiency in RSLogix5, RSLogix500, RSLogix5000, Studio 5000, and CCW environments. + Previous customer interaction experience. + Continuous improvement mentality. Work Environment This is a fully onsite position in a large manufacturing facility equipped with automated systems. The environment is very clean and attached to an updated office space. The role requires up to 15% travel and initially involves 40% hands-on work, which will reduce to 20% over time. The work pace is fast, and the position involves working with AutoCAD for control package drawings and programming HMIs and PLCs. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $140000.00/yr. Offers benefits on day 1 of your employment.
