Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Engineering Assistant to support our Microwave Factory team in driving data-driven affordability and cost savings initiatives. As an Engineering Assistant, you will play a key role in analyzing data, identifying opportunities for improvement, and implementing changes to reduce costs and enhance efficiency. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the success of our Microwave Factory.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Analyze data from various sources, including production metrics, quality control, and supply chain performance, to identify trends and opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
+ Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain, to implement changes and improvements.
+ Support the development and implementation of data-driven affordability and cost savings initiatives, including identifying and prioritizing projects, developing business cases, and tracking progress.
+ Assist in the development and maintenance of databases, data warehouses, and data analytics tools.
+ Provide ad-hoc analysis and support to stakeholders as needed.
**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**
**Requirements:**
+ 2-5 years of experience in data analysis, engineering, or a related field.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and identify trends and opportunities.
+ Proficiency in data analysis tools, such as Excel, SQL, and data visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
+ Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
+ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Experience with data-driven decision-making and cost savings initiatives.
+ Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
+ Experience with database management and data warehousing.
+ Knowledge of programming languages, such as Python or R.
**Pay Information**
Full-Time Salary Range: $57319 - $91710
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
