Position Summary:
The Engineering Applications Analyst at Coperion is responsible for providing technical support and expertise for engineering software applications used across the organization. This involves troubleshooting issues, optimizing application performance, assisting users with application-related queries, and delivering training to enhance user proficiency. The role also includes collaborating with engineering and IT teams to implement software enhancements, manage updates, and ensure applications meet engineering standards and workflows. The goal is to improve productivity and efficiency in engineering operations through effective application support.
Work You’ll Do:
Provide technical support for engineering applications, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
Monitor application performance and implement improvements to enhance functionality and user experience.
Develop and maintain documentation such as user guides, troubleshooting procedures, and process workflows.
Assist in training engineering staff on application usage and best practices.
Collaborate closely with IT and software vendors to resolve technical issues and execute updates or upgrades.
Support the integration of new applications and tools into existing engineering workflows.
Analyze user feedback and application performance metrics to identify and recommend improvements.
Participate in project planning and contribute to the successful execution of application-related initiatives.
Team:
This role will be a part of the engineering support and software management team at Coperion, working closely with engineering, IT, and software vendors to ensure optimal application performance.
Basic Qualifications:
Over 1 year of experience supporting cloud-based engineering applications and services.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or IT; equivalent experience accepted.
Proven application support experience in engineering or technical environments.
Strong knowledge of engineering software such as CAD, PLM, and simulation tools.
Experience with PTC Windchill (PLM), Autodesk, PTC Creo, DS SolidWorks, Siemens Nx.
Familiar with engineering standards and industrial processes.
Experience managing software updates and integrating new tools.
Knowledge of programming (Python, Java), SQL, or Oracle scripting is a plus.
Skilled in troubleshooting and delivering effective technical solutions.
Understanding of ITIL or similar IT service management frameworks.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.
Capable of managing multiple tasks and prioritizing effectively.
