Job DescriptionDesign and review design work with regards to Railway route planning, detailed track alignment and p-way designInterface with other disciplines on alignment / trackwork’s requirementEnsure that the design is compatible with the highest standards of health & safetyAssist in managing the Track Alignment Design / Trackwork Work Package in accordance with project Design criteriaSupervise and check all technical documents related to Track works design activitiesManage/follow up the Track design deliverables list (documents, reports, drawings, proposals etc.)Interface with general surveying worksEnsure compliance with standards, technical specifications and procedures including Quality procedures.Report directly and regularly to the people manager on the progress and status of design activity and report any deviations from targets, schedules, quality, delays etc.

QualificationsDegree and/or master’s degree in civil or Structural Engineering.Have experience in railway / trackwork in consulting firm or Fresh graduate with good engineering knowledge and Willing to learn new technologies, be self-motivated and be able to follow through with assignmentsExperience / learnt basics in using alignment design software such as Bentley Open Rail Designer (ORD), Civil3DExperience in using CAD software such as MicroStation, AutoCADConversant with local codes and authority submission proceduresExperience in track work interface issues with traction power and signaling systems, tunnel and viaduct installations, noise and vibration issues, structures and fire/life safety requirements
