Job DescriptionWe are seeking a talented and innovative Water Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. As a Water Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing water and wastewater systems that meet the unique challenges of our region. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to sustainable water management practices and make a lasting impact on our community's infrastructure.
Develop and design water and wastewater treatment systems, flood protection measures, and associated infrastructure projectsConduct hydraulic modeling and analysis to optimize water distribution networks and sewage systemsPrepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and technical reports using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and RevitCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success and integration of water systems with other infrastructure componentsPerform site investigations and environmental impact assessments for water-related projectsAnalyze and interpret data to provide innovative solutions for complex water engineering challengesEnsure compliance with local water regulations, standards, and environmental guidelinesParticipate in client meetings and present technical information to stakeholdersStay updated on the latest advancements in water engineering technologies and sustainable practicesMentor junior engineers and contribute to the overall growth of the water engineering teamQualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related fieldProven experience in water and wastewater engineering projects, with a focus on treatment systems and hydraulic designProficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Revit, as well as other relevant engineering software packagesStrong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data and provide innovative solutionsExcellent knowledge of local water regulations, standards, and environmental guidelinesExperience with hydraulic modeling and analysis of water distribution networksFamiliarity with sustainable water management practices and environmental impact assessmentsStrong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneouslyExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information to diverse audiencesDetail-oriented approach to work, with a commitment to producing high-quality deliverablesCollaborative mindset and ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teamsEngineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam preferredWillingness to travel to project sites as neededAdditional InformationAbout AECOM
