Job Description:

Parsons Special Programs and Systems group is hiring cleared software engineers to develop specialized software within a first-class team of developers, computer scientists, and cyber specialists. Specifically, you will have the opportunity to:

Part-time Engineer opportunity ideal for studentParticipate in or lead design and code reviewsCreate real-time/stream/batch processing softwareDevelop scalable, web-based data visualization and analytic platforms using Java, Spring, servlets, Extract Transform Load (ETL) pipelines, microservices, message brokers, and scalable databases (Hadoop, Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL)Build and deploy software using Python, Gradle, Docker, Vagrant, Ansible, Maven, Gitlab, and/or Bash.Learn about new software and hardware technology platforms

Required Qualifications:

Active Top Secret SCI clearanceWork in person in Centreville, VA OR Charlotte, NCWorking towards a degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, or a related disciplineJava, C++, or JavaScript development skills

Desired Qualifications:

Active polygraphExperience working in a Linux development environmentKnowledge of networking concepts including the OSI modelDevOps experience with Jenkins, Gitlab, Gradle, CMake, Zabbix, and/or VagrantC++ experience with Boost, TBB, and/or DPDKVirtual machine and/or containerization experience with VMWare, Libvirt, Docker, and/or PodmanDeployment script experience with Ansible or SaltOperational Linux skills with technology such as SNMP, NTP, Systemd, Cron, DNF, and/or Git.Structured Query Language (SQL) experience for example with MySQL or PostgreSQLNoSQL experience for example with Hadoop, Elasticsearch, or MongoDBSpring Boot experienceScripting experience for example with Python, Bash, or ShellFront-end (full-stack) development experience with Angular and Material-UI using TypeScript

Security Clearance Requirement:

An active Top Secret SCI security clearance is required for this position.​

Salary Range: $35.05 - $61.35
