ENGINEER-PROCESS CONTRL

The Engineer – Process Control will provide engineering services to support mill control system and control projects, which include but are not limited to: emphasis on distributed control systems and integrated supervisory weight and moisture controls.
Principle Accountabilities:
Responsible for distributed control systems and integrated supervisory weight and moisture controls. Supervise and direct the activities of maintenance, operations, and contract personnel. Serve as system technical support for maintenance and operations personnel in troubleshooting control problems. Work with corporate process control engineers and mill Process Services Manager to implement new control strategies and to modify existing strategies as necessary for continuous improvement. Work with mill personnel and suppliers of control equipment on new installations, upgrades, and maintenance contracts.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline with basic knowledge of control theory. Applicants must have 1-5 years’ experience in controls. Strong technical and analytical skills, familiarity with instrumentation, process control equipment, control strategies, and related software.
Preferred Qualifications:
Vendor training in distributed control systems and quality control systems Pulp and Paper Industry experience.

Must exhibit excellent communication, analytical, organizational, and computer skills. Must be capable of independently making sound decisions through creative problem solving.
