Ø Purpose of Position
The Mechanical Project Engineer shall be responsible for supervision, installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical equipment and systems as per approved specifications. The position performs in line with the Bureau Veritas Quality Assurance System, including the BV Code of Ethics and the BV Group policy
Ø Major Responsibilities
Supervision of installation of pumps, motors, valves, piping, and mechanical systems Review of mechanical drawings, datasheets, and vendor submissions Monitoring alignment, grouting, and commissioning activities Ensuring compliance with approved technical specifications Inspection and testing of mechanical equipment Coordination with civil and electrical teams for integrated execution Support in measurement, billing, and technical documentation
Ø Criteria for Performance Evaluation (KPIs)
Quality of installation and commissioning activities Compliance with specifications and manufacturer guidelines Timely issue resolution and coordination Accuracy of measurements and reports Smooth integration with civil and electrical works
Ø Qualification and Experience & Technical Knowledge
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in mechanical works for infrastructure projects Experience with pumping machinery, valves, and piping systems Knowledge of mechanical standards, codes, and commissioning procedures
Ø Skills & Qualities:
Strong technical and analytical skills Hands-on experience with site execution Coordination and teamwork abilities Clear communication and reporting skills
