Purpose of Role: Ensure zero harm and zero defects in the pump assembly area, delivering customer orders on time while driving safety, quality, and continuous improvement in manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Safety & Environment

Apply ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018 standards.

Conduct HIRA, POWRA, AIA, and JSA to identify hazards and control risks.

Promote zero-harm culture through training, participation, and consultation.

Actively encourage team participation and open dialogue to improve safety and environmental performance.

Lead environmental protection and pollution prevention initiatives.

Quality & Continuous Improvement

Implement a “right first time” approach to achieve zero defects.

Monitor CTQ points and ensure compliance with assembly/painting drawings.

Lead and track Kaizen initiatives, including monitoring operator-led improvements.

Support NPD activities with manufacturing input.

Production, Delivery & Customer Focus

Ensure on-time delivery of customer orders while maintaining quality and cost targets.

Integrate customer feedback into process improvements.

Manage daily/weekly/monthly production check sheets and reports.

Track team KPIs and drive actions to achieve targets.

Coordinate fixture development with vendors and obtain SHE approvals.

Ensure timely ordering and tracking of tools and consumables.

People & Process Management

Supervise and guide team members in the assembly area.

Provide employees with the training, tools, and resources needed to work safely and efficiently.

Train team members on SOPs, safety procedures, and process requirements.

Apply VSM for process optimization.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

Diploma or BE/B.Tech in Mechanical/Production/Industrial Engineering.

3–4 years’ experience in manufacturing, preferably in pump or rotating equipment industry.
