We invite passionate individuals to join our team, dedicated to exceeding customer expectations through innovative and sustainable solutions. **engineer IV** Xylem Services USA LLC’s Holland, MI, office seeks an Engineer IV to research, design, develop, and test the manufacturing and installation of electrical global water technology products and solutions (equipment, components, and systems) for commercial, industrial military, or scientific use. Duties include: (i) applying knowledge of NEC, UL, NFPA, CSA and CE standards to control system panel designs; (ii) writing PLC and HMI programs for water treatment systems utilizing Rockwell/Allen Bradley, and Siemens products; (iii) configuring automation networks, including Ethernet/IP, Control|Net, Profibus, Profinet and Modbus; (iv) conducting Factory Acceptance Testing and configuration of control and automation systems; (v) directing Field Service Engineers regarding site acceptance testing; and (vi) troubleshooting equipment operation issues which may be related to electrical design or programming. This is a hybrid office-based/work-from-home position within the United States. The employee can work remotely from within the United States, but must be able to work in the Holland, MI, office two (2) days per week. Must have a bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent degree) in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field plus five (5) years of post-baccalaureate and progressively responsible experience in a related position. Must also have any experience with or knowledge of: (i) P&ID diagrams, ISA tags and symbols, electrical schematics, including motor control and performing markups, and NEC70E electrical safety requirements (ii) Programming PLC for process/manufacturing industry (PLC hardware (AB SLC, CompactLogix, ControlLogix, Siemens S7-300, S7-1200,GE Fanuc 90-30,90-70,Versa max); (iii) configuring Human Machine Interfaces (HMI) for water treatment or similar processes (AB Panel View, GE Cimplicity, Wonderware Intouch); (iv) engineering and designing of electrical control panels for industrial machines and processes as per UL508A; (v) conducting Factory Acceptance Testing and configuration of control and automation systems; (vi) PLC softwares – GE Proficy Machine Edition, Rockwell RS Logix 500/5000/Studio 5000, Siemens TIA Portal; and (vii) electrical design software – Auto CAD, ePLAN Electrical P8, Promis.e V8i. Experience can be concurrent. This is a hybrid office-based/work-from-home position within the United States. The employee can work remotely from within the United States, but must be able to work in the Holland, MI, office two (2) days per week. Must be willing to travel both domestically and internationally on short notice to various unanticipated locations to provide technical support up to 25%.
