We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell MV-75 Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) part of the US Army’s Future Vertical Lift (FVL) modernization effort. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless and Bell's High-Speed Vertical Take-Off and Landing (HSVTOL) program, a next generation stop-fold aircraft.

This position is onsite in Fort Worth.

Instrumentation Lab

Bring your ideas and experience to support the laboratory testing of innovative drive systems used in Bell commercial and military products. As a member of the Instrumentation team you will be designing stain gauge sensors to assist in planning and executing testing of RD projects and aircraft components in a small team environment.

What you'll be doing as an Engineer – Instrumentation Lab

Support commercial and military RD programs in a test laboratory environmentDevelop and execute project plans for installing and upgrading instrumentation sensors, wiring, and signal processing hardware, to meet project schedulesUse CAD to create strain gage installation documentationLead the troubleshooting and repair of instrumentation with technicians and other engineering disciplinesTroubleshoot sensors and work on test fixtures, as neededPerform data analysis and identify any possible issues with instrumentation equipment or sensors.Verify work of Bell Instrumentation technicians' strain gage installations.

Skills You Bring To this Role

Must be self-starter with ability to manage multiple tasks and work with minimum supervisionExperience with Dassault Systems’ CATIA V5, V6, or similar CAD programKnowledge of strain gages, thermocouples and other sensorsMust have the ability to work with other engineering groups to determine best approach to meet testing requirementsMust be able to work overtime and limited shift work as required in the test environmentMust be proficient in Microsoft Office productsAbility to perform physical tasks related to machinery and aircraft components that include climbing, balancing, and maneuvering in confined and/or elevated spaces while adhering to safety protocols

What you need to be successful

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. Related degrees with relevant experience will be considered.Minimum 2 years of engineering design experience with an interest in electronicsSkills with NI Labview programming is a plus.
