What will you do
Provide L3 operational support for Linux/Unix infrastructure.Participate in Cloud/Virtual infrastructure improvements and maintenance activities.Handling the service management work queue to address customer requests within the established service level agreements.Participating in the on-call rotation with other team members to ensure vital support coverage for the global infrastructure.Ensure the highest possible level of server uptime and availability by proactively identifying and fixing infrastructure related problems.Bring automation to improve efficiency.How will you get here?
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field of studyExperience
6+ years’ experience in RedHat Linux OS Administration3+ years’ experience with VMware Virtualization or AWS Cloud infrastructure management3+ years’ experience in L3 Infrastructure Operational Support.Good to have experience in scripting and automation !.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Proficiency in RedHat Linux OS AdministrationProficiency in VMware Virtualization or AWS Cloud technologies like SSM, VPC, EC2, Lambda, Config, IAM etcGood Exposure with Scripting and AutomationExperience in working with geographically distributed teamsAn attitude of continuous improvement in process with security standard methodologies and cost-effectivenessAbility to work in a team structure, make decisions, tackle problems, analyze, plan, coordinate and prioritize workExcellent oral and written communication skills to present technical information to both business and technology teams with clarity and precisionAt Thermo Fisher Scientific, each one of our 125,000 outstanding minds has a unique story to tell.
