Engineer III- Systems Country/Region: US Location: FarmingtonHills, MI, US Req ID 81065 | FarmingtonHills, Michigan (US-MI), United States ZF Active Safety and Electronics US LLC **Job Description** *DNP* *CBD* ZF Active Safety and Electronics US, LLC has job openings (multiple) for the position of Engineer III - Systems based out of its location in Farmington Hills, MI. Job Duties: Conduct thorough analysis and elicitation of customer requirements, particularly for automotive front camera applications. Decompose and develop system level requirements based on customer requirements. Collaborate closely with cross discipline teams and customers to capture and clarify product goals and capabilities. Ensure consistent management of product requirements across projects, utilizing tools like IBM Doors in accordance with approved processes. Design and maintain system architecture using modeling tools such as IBM Rhapsody. Identify and establish requirements to address disparities between Core (R&D) and customer needs. Liaise with customer to discuss specific issues on product requirements to improve efficiency, performance, quality etc. Work with the safety team to develop Technical Safety Requirements. Assist in the creation of System FMEAs. Support the team in problem resolution and change management activities. Follow industry standards like ISO26262 and ASPICE processes and support audits to meet customer demands. Up to 15% international travel visit customer plants and perform issue analysis A hybrid (in-office and telecommute) work schedule is available. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software engineering or a closely related field, plus 2 years of experience in System Engineering and demonstrated experience with: Requirement Elicitation and Requirements Management in IBM DOORs; Developing System Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) using Ansys Medini; Vehicle bus Architectures CAN/CAN FD and Automotive Ethernet; Utilizing Vector tools CANoe and CANalyzer to analyze and simulate network communications, and to diagnose and troubleshoot issues within vehicle systems; ASPICE and ISO26262 & ISO/SAE 21434; Product Life Cycle Management tool, including PTIC Integrity; Design and maintenance of system architecture using SysML modeling tools, including IBM Rhapsody; Developing safety analysis such system Fault Tree Analysis and Dependent Failure analysis on the required design to ensure robust and safe implementation; and Ethernet physical layer standards and protocols, including 10BASE-T, 100BASE-TX, 1000BASE-T, and higher-speed variants.
