As an Engineer III, you will assist in analyzing, designing, and managing the construction of water and wastewater treatment, pumping, and collection systems. Job Summary
Engineer III, under general supervision assists with engineering system design during all phases of multiple, simultaneous projects by performing design calculations, specifications, interpreting and preparing reports, applying techniques and procedures, preparing cost estimates, impact studies, permits and designs/deliverable drawings.
Job Responsibilities
Manages and perform system design, including calculations, equipment selection, layout, and drawing preparation. Develops and reviews project documents, specifications, and design options; ensures code compliance through meetings and reviews.Conduct site investigations and technical research to support design decisions. Coordinates with technicians and staff; assign tasks and checks work for accuracy. Apply standard engineering practices and software tools to produce high-quality deliverables.Demonstrates working knowledge of relevant codes and design standards. Bachelor’s degree in EngineeringPreferred Education & Experience
2 – 6 years’ experienceEngineer-in-Training/Fundamentals of Engineering (EIT)Understanding of concepts of wastewater treatment and collection systems. Understanding of closed-pipe and open-channel and hydraulics. AutoCAD Civil 3D experience preferred.Revit and ArcGIS software experience is a plus.Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to perform site visits.Previous intern experience relating to wastewater is highly preferred.Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, Inc.
