Raytheon’s Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) Surface Radars & Sensors Center is seeking Systems Engineers interested in ocean engineering. Our Portsmouth, RI team primarily supports programs in the naval undersea and naval surface domains including sensor systems, mine countermeasures, submarines, torpedoes, combat systems, and ship architecture/integration. Our engineers perform underwater acoustics analysis and tracking, develop and manage system requirements, integrate hardware and software, develop test plans and procedures, debug and evaluate system functions and interfaces, and verify system requirements in support of final sell-off to the customer. We put our systems together, exercise them in the lab or in the field, measure and analyze performance, and make sure our products work the first time and every time. Every day is a different set of challenges to overcome. You'll be expected to collaborate across disciplines and partner to implement solutions. In this role, you'll get to know a little bit about every aspect of the system and have a direct hand in making it all work together supporting teams of engineers engaged in integration and test efforts. **What You Will Do** + Support planning and execution of Integration, Verification, or Test activities + Conduct requirement analysis to ensure system designs meet program objectives and customer needs. + Develop and execute Monte Carlo test runs to assess system performance under varied conditions. + Detect and diagnose system failures, identify root causes, and propose corrective actions. + Support software/hardware integration efforts, collaborating with software teams to ensure seamless functionality. + Work across disciplines to develop and implement innovative solutions to complex challenges. + Stay up to date with advancements in data analysis techniques, and Integration, Verification, or Test practices. + Travel, both domestic and international, to support customer events, with an expected travel requirement not exceeding 25%. **What You Will Learn** After completion of comprehensive on-the-job training, the candidate will be a part of a team supporting Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) activities across the product development lifecycle. **Qualifications You Must Have** + Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience. + Experience with system software, system hardware, system requirements and/or test. + Experience with C++, Python, MATLAB and/or other programming languages. **Qualifications We Prefer** + Experience using Monte Carlo simulations to model system performance, analyze outcomes, and enhance testing strategies. + Experience with identifying root causes of system failures through detailed diagnostics, implement timely fixes to restore functionality, and develop preventative measures to avoid recurrence + Experience developing and managing requirements using DOORS, Rhapsody, Cameo, or other digital engineering tools, including application of model-based and digital engineering practices. + Experience working in an integration lab, test facility, or field environment supporting integration and/or verification to ensure the system under test performs according to specifications/requirements + Experience presenting technical findings, analyses, and solutions to leadership and customers. **What We Offer** + Our values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world.
