Position Summaryteach

The Field Service Engineer is responsible for the installation, servicing, and repair of complex equipment and systems at customer sites. They ensure operational quality, instruct customers on system use and maintenance, and serve as the liaison between the company and customers for both technical and administrative matters. The role involves on-site installations of Thermo Fisher systems and related options.

Key ResponsibilitiesConduct on-site installation of complex equipment and follow testing procedures to ensure accurate working orderConduct on-site scheduled planned maintenance visitsProvide solving and repair support for customers and other field service personnelCultivate and develop positive working relationships with customers, system users, and company personnelTravel, often on short notice, to customer sites to resolve problems or support other field service personnelComplete and submit field service reportsProvide training for customers and users on system maintenanceProvide feedback to product quality teamsProvide appropriate input in writing, updating, and correcting various Thermo Fisher Scientific system documentationProvide feedback for various reports including identifying and isolating outstanding problems with the systemAct as a subject guide and resource for training

This position is ideal for an experienced service engineer wanting to be involved with a diverse team and exposed to a constant variety of customer application areas.

Typically requires a university degree in engineering or equivalent experience in electronic system problem solvingOver 3+ years professional Engineer or related exprienceProfessional exprience with installing, fixing, calibrating complex analysis tools like SEM, FIB is preferred.Experience in solving and repairing ultra-high vacuum and high voltage systems is helpful
